This week, my #sundaysevens post is a day late (again) with good reason – I was at The Ritz in London having afternoon tea and didn’t get back until nine o’clock:)
Shall we start with that then?
Hubby and me quaffing champagne…
…with two of our very good friends.
Cousins-In-Law modelling the crochet headbands I made them for Christmas….
….and the cake she made for our New Year Supper! (Check out her FB page!).
Teaching a willing student to crochet.
I made Salmon en Croute for lunch one day.
A frosty walk with the dogs.
Thanks to Natalie at Threads and Bobbins for encouraging us to keep blogging!

Hospital tomorrow but MUCH better – able to drive again at last! Christmas was busy but great, if only because everyone chipped in as I was under par:)

Always wanted to do Tea at the Ritz. Love the look of your Salmon en Croute. Would rather be eating that than my vegetable soup this lunch time!

You must do it – a very special experience! Soup sounds lovely actually as it’s definitely turning cold again. Must make some….

What a wonderful start to 2015, I bet it was a lovely wind down to have afternoon tea at the Ritz after your busy Christmas. My hubby would think he’d died and gone to heaven if he had a cake like that !!! Your crocheted headbands look great, perfect for these chilly days 🙂

It was the perfect end to the chaos that is the festive season which is wonderful but exhausting. Confession: we still haven’t managed to eat all the cake!

I know what you mean about Christmas….! ;-/
I bet there are enough calories in that cake to take someone through a whole year just in the outer casing alone, let alone what was inside…I’m sure there will be much more happy munching for a good few weeks 😉

*Gasps* Looks as though things have been pretty wonderful, chez Sewchet? I mean any post that incorporates The Ritz, and crochet, and beautiful frosty scenes can’t be bad. Hope 2015 continues in a similarly fabulous vein.

Wow!! The pic I came across the other day was of you and Lucy!! You were both at a fair with vendors selling their wares. I don’t know how long ago it was but that makes me happy to see it was you too!! 🙂 Champagne at the Ritz! Why not if it makes you happy? You both look so very happy! That is what life is about.

I found it!! It was Yarndale in October!!! Yippee!! Don’t know why but it makes my heart sing to see my blog buddies doing what they love. You may not realize it but there is a pic of Vanessa I do believe on your yarndale post. At least it looks so much like her from the side. I don’t know. Such a sweet soul. Makes me sad to have lost her so early. Keep blogging lady bug. I read you and Attic 24 everyday. 🙂

Vanessa Cabban wrote the blog Do you mind if I knit. Bless her heart she was so talented. She was an illustrator for tons of childrens books, did paper mache statues, crocheted and watercolor paints and so many more. She stepped in front of a train on Dec 17 of last year and died at the scene. Such a troubled soul but so very kind and has left such a huge hole in so many lives. Here is a link to her blog http://doyoumindifiknit.typepad.com/ Here is the article if you missed it. http://www.berwickshirenews.co.uk/news/local-news/all-local-news/local-woman-killed-by-train-at-goswick-1-3637345
