Sunday Sevens #43

What a week!

This week’s #sundaysevens consists entirely of photos of my week in Polzeath, Cornwall with The Girls.

We’ve been besties for twenty-five years since pregnant with our first children and have had many holidays together over the years, both with and without the kids.

This holiday was just for us though, as it was a special celebration for the first one of us to reach the big five-o.

We spent an indulgent six days getting up late, lazing on the beach, eating at the finest restaurants and drinking.

Lots of drinking.

I shall spare you all the drunken photos and just share a few nice ones:)

1. Meet The Girls.

I’m the next one to hit fifty in a couple of years, but how we’ll top that as far as celebrations go I have no idea!

  1. WOW! It looks like you ladies had a fantastic time. Your pic had me drooling over your spread of all that great seafood. Happy Birthday to the birthday girl. She doesn’t look 50 at all. It is always nice to get away for a mini va-ca just to relax, chat, drink a bit, eat and laugh till your sides ache. Thanks for sharing your get-a-way with all of us. xxxx

  8. What great pictures! I’m sure they are only a fraction of the happy times you all had on the holiday 🙂 At least you have lots of time to think over how you want your birthday break with the girls to be 😉 !!

  11. I just reached 5 – 9. I was thinking of going into a holding pattern. But, if I could celebrate 60 like you all celebrated your friend’s 50th I think I would look forward to celebrating big birthdays for many decades. So much fun!

  13. How about planning a trip to NY, you might be able to sneak a visit to the garment district, I know, I know, it’s always about fabric. lol.

    • Garment district, eh? Sounds good to me, unfortunately none of The Girls do anything remotely crafty so I might not be that popular if I insisted we went there!

  14. What a lovely celebration. Knew you’d have a great time and did think of you on a couple of occasions last week and what a good week you’d pick to head for Cornwall.

  16. I can’t believe any of you are even near fifty. That Prosecco (my favourite tipple!) must be doing you some good! What a fabulous looking week.

  17. Gooooood show! Such a fab party week for everyone, and well earned. You all look so tanned, chic, sleek, & totally photogenic! A well earned break, and best wishes to your birthday friend.🎉 Who knew Cornwall could be such a good beach location? Am remembering the original Poldark (we’re just beginning the new).
