Sunday Sevens is here again – seven-ish photos of your week to show what you get up to between those bigger blog posts. Check out this article over at Threads & Bobbins to find out how YOU can join in.

  1. We made a grand total of £609 profit from the Christmas Supper in the Village Hall – and leftover veg meant bubble ‘n’ squeak for breakfast on Sunday!

2. Whipped up a couple of very basic Angel costumes for The Boy’s school Nativity (that’s another bedsheet gone). Don’t they look sweet?

4. On Friday, H-R and I went on our annual Christmas shopping trip to Bath while the Christmas market was still in full swing. We’ve been going every year since she was four, so this is our twentieth anniversary!

We usually have Eggs Royale for breakfast as soon as we arrive and this year was no exception.

5. I bought the latest Big Issue from a lovely chap who dressed his companion up for the festive season.

6. A local school was fundraising for a new piano by carol singing in the high street.

7. Mulled wine and mince pies outside is a great way to rest your feet in between all that shopping.

9. Finally, to round off a brilliant week, last night hubby and I went to a party dressed up as Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta Jones in ‘The Mask Of Zorro’.

It took an ENTIRE king size duvet cover to make his outfit!!

  2. That last is fan-TAS-tic! We’re over here with early summer temps at the moment, but full of holiday activities despite lacking snow & overcoats. Your breakfasts all look yummy, and the boys were sweet in their robes. Lovely time of year for you, but busssssy! Thank you for including us via this post!

    • I saved the best photo ’til last, that’s for sure – he’s mad, my husband! We’re trying to do something festive every day up to Christmas. If you want to have a look at what we do each day, it’s all on my personal Facebook page, not the Sewchet one:)

  5. Glad I’ve just ate my lunch, I’d be drooling over your food pix this week, especially the fry up, I can almost smell it! The boys looks so cute, and your daughter….. I thought it was you and that you’d had your hair lightened until I read the caption! Well done to the hubby for being a good sport, slightly concerning how well he wears a frock!! He’d have needed another waxing too! 😉

    • I thought you were going to say that you were glad you’d just had lunch so at least you’ve got something to throw up after looking at the last photo!!! He looked even more ridiculous with all that body hair poking out and the tattoo on his right shoulder. If my daughter gains three stone by the time she’s forty, she’ll look just like me:)

    • Glad to help your week start with a giggle:) We certainly do try to do lots at this time of year, especially because we have young boys – although the older ones still manage to join in and get over excited even in their twenties! We’re also keen to show The Boys the spirit of giving and helping those less fortunate than themselves:)

  11. Fabulous! Your daughter is certainly a beautiful mini-you, and your little men are angels indeed. Such wonderful charity works, isn’t that what Christmas is all about? Now….regarding the last photo – Ms Zeta-Jones will be so flattered to see his impersonation. What a hoot! Still laughing. 😀

    • Thanks Jen:) Yes, Christmas is all about thinking about, and helping, those less fortunate and The Boys are naturally generous in this respect, thankfully. Glad we managed to make you smile with the last photo:)

  12. Me too, just choked on my cuppa. Do you have any bedding left in your house after making all those costumes? Great to see your lovely boys enjoying giving to others.

  13. What a brilliant week! Food, family and festivities, and of course some Christmas crafting. Perfect! So nice that you contributed to charity too – I think we can be a little guilty of bypassing that at such a hectic time of year.
