This month’s blog post for Minerva Crafts is two-for-the-price-of-one.
I had just enough left over from making a sleeping bag to make a hoodie for one of The Boys as well.

Adorable! The sleeping bag’s not bad either. I used to think Yorkies were my least favourite dog – although I love all dogs so that’s not saying much. I blame it on a neighbour’s dog when I was a child. Her daughter and I used to take Nipper – for that was his well-earned name – walkies and he would pee up every available surface along the way, causing us much embarrassment and he also smelt a bit.
Your two are so cute I’m becoming a convert.

I used to keep Border Collies before these two, believe it or not! They are just gorgeous and very easy to keep, not to mention the fact that they’re hypoallergenic because they don’t moult and have hair, not fur.

Such a brilliant design. And your son has done a great job modelling for the sleeping bag! 🙂

Kids take parents for granted, don’t they, so I’m not sure he was impressed exactly, just pleased he had a new top to wear! No pockets added as yet, but both items are being well used already.

Thank you, I loved the fabric as soon as I saw it and was trying to figure out what to make with it. Both sleeping bag and hoodie are perfect for it, I think – and The Boys seem to think so too.

Thanks Del, the fabric is ace, isn’t it? And so nice to sew with, too, so if you manage to get some you’ll have no problem working with it.

Thanks Ali, I tell you what, I really did feel like Super Mum after knocking up that hoodie an hour before we went out. And then the cheeky little s*d said “What, no pockets?”!

I don’t think the young men in our lives realise that not all women have super powers with a sewing machine. They’ll get a surpise when they get older😀

It’s a lovely fabric to use for a Summer sleeping bag but will probably get used just as much for a blanket on the sofa. The hoodie was a great bonus way to use up the leftovers.

I love the fabric and everything you made out of it. The youngest son looks like he isn’t feelin well, You can tell in his eyes. Poor baby. I could always tell in my little ones that way.
