My blog post for Minerva Crafts this month is this adorable little girl’s cardigan/bolero, which is now available for grown ups, too!
This one is for a Christmas present but, as it was whipped up in just a few hours, I couldn’t resist casting on another as a birthday present immediately after the first one was off the needles.

This is such a sweet little cardigan. I particularly like the fact that there is no making up at the end of it! What I can’t believe is that your granddaughter is already one!

The making up is the bit I always procrastinate about when it comes to knitting. I finished knitting a jumper for myself at the end of Winter and STILL haven’t sewn it up!

And it’s really different, isn’t it? It’s easy to wear, too, and adds an extra layer without being irritating, as it’s loose fitting around the body and arms and away from the neck.

What a beautiful knit. I love the how the different stitch patterns flatter the body. You did a beautiful job on both. Your grand daughter has grown so fast. She is precious.

Any knitting that doesn’t require sewing up gets my vote and this little bolero is definitely a winner – I love the look of some of those stitches. Not sure I’m keen on the ruffle effect at the back for an adult but it looks adorable on the tots.

No, the ruffle isn’t for me either, but would suit someone younger. It was great to just finish the knitting and not have to sew it up.

I have to admit that one of the reasons I knit small things is for the relatively quick results. I’ve finished the shawl at last though, just need to sew it up and block!
