Sunday Sevens #107

1. Woke up to another beautiful frosty morning – this is the view through the French doors from our bed.

2. We went to a Christening – the baby slept through being baptised and The Boys were given sparklers by the vicar!

3. The shawl has been sent to its new owner at last! I will do a short post on it in the next couple of weeks but, suffice to say, it was very well received, thankfully.

4. Mr H-L and I went to Clark’s Village to buy him a new piece of cabin luggage for his regular business trips to Amsterdam and, obviously, we had to have lunch whilst we were out.

5. Lunch was fabulous……..but not as amazing as my other purchases:)

6. A fun shot of one of my kids’ sewing classes – yes, we really do have that much fun!

7. Another Christmas commission was completed and sent across the pond to the USA.

8. I found time to help Mum with a commission that she was struggling to find the time to do – a personalised cushion for a baby girl. Definitely girly, but not too babyish, I think.

9. You can’t tell, but this is me having a G&T in our local pub. Fifi likes to sit on a coat on a stool and watch the world going by out of the window.

10. I had some leftover Stag’s head fabric from my Minerva Craft sponsored project and made a cute little hat and leggings for our granddaughter for Christmas. Can you tell that I’m a bit of a stickler for pattern placement?!

11. We went to stay with my brother for the weekend and missed the Remembrance service so watched it on TV instead. This is a photo of our local church in its Autumn dressing. I know – random.

  2. Wow what a beautiful view you have from your bedroom. So pretty. I love the hat and leggings. They are just precious. You definitely matched the fabric to a “T”. The hats are awesome. Fingers crossed that they fit their coconuts. LOL All the pics are so pretty. The leaves are so beautiful at the church. Not a random pic. I think it fits in just fine. Lots of love and hugs to you and the family.

    • I know, it was that view that sold us the house and we shall miss it when we move. I hope the hats fit, too – I only had their ages to go on, so I just went with what the pattern suggested for each one. That little outfit was just about the only thing that could be cut out of the leftover fabric, so I was pretty chuffed with it:)

  3. Beautiful church. Fabulous pattern matching. Amazing shawl. Lovely to see christenings still happening. Good to see you managed some goodies as well as hubbies bag!! So envious of the kids in your classes K xXx

  4. Love what you did with the leftover stag fabric – it would be great to see a photo of your granddaughter wearing it after Christmas..
I like a bit of Radley myself only I’m not allowed to have any now that leather goods are being produced in-house. Luckily nobody told my friend and I did get a rather nice dog enhanced wallet for my birthday.

  5. Great pattern matching! Lovely view from your window. Really love your Mum’s cushion – given me an idea about getting my sewing machine out for these new babies I have to get presents for this Christmas. Just have to find time to get my machine out. Wish hubby good luck with his new job. It’s barely a hop over the ocean to Amsterdam. Where will he fly from?

  6. What a lovely vista to wake up to!! Another fun packed week, the children are having a whale of a time in their sewing class 🙂 What a lunch and Radley gifts too for some lucky person(s)! Your little stag outfit and hats are wonderful, as ever and will make their lucky recipients look charming….and, a wonderful seasonal Autumnal Church pic 🙂

  7. An absolutely fabulous week. Wow. I love the photo of the church and the grounds. So many beautiful leaves on the ground. They colour is just amazing.
Lots of crafting, you sure are keeping busy. Don’t know how you do it with a view like that, I would not be able to get up! 🙂 Or want to get up! Stunning!!
Have another great week and keep warm on those chilly frosty mornings. 🙂

    • That view is the reason we bought our house – the house itself is quite ugly, but you don’t see that from the inside, do you? I’m ramping up the crafting this week as I’m a bit behind after over running on the baby shawl. Any excuse to do more making and less housework:)

  8. What a super week. Love your makes. What a clever idea to use sparklers instead of candles. I remember trying to juggle holding the baby with a lit candle and it’s very hard!

    • Thanks Cathy, there will be plenty more makes to share in the run up to Christmas, that’s for sure! There was a candle as well at the Christening, they just gave The Boys sparklers as a little extra – and they loved them. I thought it was a nice touch:)
