Happy Sunday folks!

1. This lovely creature woke me up this morning – what a handsome chap! Although he’s LOUD, I love to hear him crow – it never bothers me.

2. So an early breakfast was called for. Just look at the colour of our hens’ eggs:)

3. We had Sunday Lunch at the Village Hall a couple of weeks ago and I forgot to post a photo, so this one is a bit late.

It’s just your average hall, but we enjoy many a happy ‘do’ there.

4. The ceiling has been taken down recently, but this is what it looked like when we got married nearly two years ago.

5. I pulled a muscle whilst running and this is what the Physio taped it up with!

6. A trip to Nottingham to see family included a drink in the oldest pub in England (1189AD). It is built into the bedrock under Nottingham Castle which you can just see top right.

7. Yarn delivery for Christmas presents – I need to start early to get them all done!

  1. Love the look of your village hall, especially when it was all trimmed up for your wedding. The cockerel is beautiful! Are we allowed to know what type of gifts you plan to create with the yarn? I’m intrigued!

  4. Your rooster is so distinguished looking. I love that pic. I have never seen a tape job like the one you got from the doctor on your leg. Luckily it is a bright pink and looks so pretty. I sure it doesn’t feel very good. I hope you heal quickly. Congrats to T on her giveaway win! The Drops wool looks so soft. Where did you get it at? Oh I would love to have a scarf made up of that. I can just feel it next to my skin. Sigh……. πŸ™‚

  5. Beautiful photo of your alarm clock! πŸ™‚
Did you make all the bunting for your wedding? The room looks beautiful.
I’m not sure that your youngest son was very interested in the oldest pub in England?! (Just by the look of his face in the photo!!)

    • Thanks Roma, the leg has already mended so the weird looking tape did the job. The yarn is amazing and I can’t wait for the crystals to arrive so I can start knitting. I agree – my alarm clock is the most handsome one around:)

      • Thanks for the link. The yarn is lovely. Unfortunately I don’t knit so no scarves for me unless I find a knitter to do a custom for me. Oh my…. enjoy the rest of your weekend Sheila. Rock on girlie!!

  7. Beautiful photos as always. Love your handsome rooster. Am also loving that pink strapping – colour is almost worth the injury – must must by some wool that colour. Dare I ask what the Christmas presents are if they require yarn and crystals. Or have I read that wrong?

    • Thanks STH (what DOES that stand for??) a little bit of bling should make a scarf more exciting. Just read your ‘About’ page. Pee’d myself laughing:)

      • Ha! I’m glad you liked it. Yeah, I should probably add this to the “About” page–STH has been my online pseudonym for many years and it stands for “struggling toward hope,” as I have some health problems, but am always doing my best to get better and stronger all the time.

  10. Such a handsome rooster! Not a phrase you hear very often πŸ˜‰ His colours are beautiful! And I’m purposefully going to ignore your use of the ‘C’ word, you’re far too organised! πŸ˜‰

  11. He is, isn’t he? We, rather predictably, call him Cock and my husband loves to boast about how magnificent his is! Sorry about the ‘C’ word but I’ve got so much to do that I need to start now:)

  12. The picture of your rooster is fab – does he have a name? At our old house there was one nearby who woke us up every morning. I really missed him when we moved.

  13. I also can’t believe that you have started planning for Christmas! I am very impressed though…I normally have a panic when it close to December and wish I had started earlier!
The breakfast being cooked made my mouth water… I miss proper bacon!

    • I can’t resist the smell of bacon cooking – it makes me hungry even when I thought I wasn’t! I like to craft outside in the Summer so it makes sense to work on Christmas presents and enjoy the sunshine at the same time.

      • That is a great idea! I’m hoping to get outside too with some small projects when it stops raining…crafting & sunshine makes me feel very content πŸ™‚
My mouth is watering again now!! I haven’t found any bacon that is as good as English stuff – we have had to settle for turkey bacon!!!

  14. I love your cockerel, so much better to wake up to than the honk honk of an electric alarm clock even if a tad early! i’m gald I am not the only one already making Christmas pressies! x
