Sunday Sevens is a weekly blog series hosted by Nat at Threads & Bobbins (www.threadsandbobbins.com) – sorry Nat, but I couldn’t work out how to add a proper link on the mobile app:)
Here follows seven-ish photos of my week: –
1. Opened the barbecue to find a huge nest had been built. Three Blue Tit chicks chirped loudly back at us!
2. Had a French manicure in preparation for our holiday.
3. Took The Boys out for an ice cream sundae before an early bedtime – we had to be up at 3am to catch our flight.
4. The Boys reading on the ‘plane – bye bye Blighty!
5. Auntie M’s villa, home for the next two weeks.
View from the roof terrace.
6. Finishing the second sock relaxing by the pool.
6. Enjoying the Flamenco dancing in a local bar.
7. The Boys writing their daily diaries in lieu of homework with the promise of a morning in the pool.
Hope you all had a great week too!

I’m impressed that your still manages to do this! LOL at the nest in your BBQ! I’m guessing you didn’t have a BBQ in the end?! The start of your holiday looks glorious. The weather is not bad at home at the moment haha always the way.

Aunty M’s place looks wonderful, a perfect getaway for relaxation, oh and sock finishing π That was one deluxe nest the little Blue Tits had built for their chicks!

It’s a huge nest for such tiny birds to build, we were fascinated with it and the chicks were a lovely surprise. I wore the socks this evening whilst eating outside and, I have to say, they feel fabulous on the feet:)

It certainly was! It has made me wonder just how big a nest our Blue Tits have made in the very oversized bird house Dearest made??! I hope when you choose the yarn for your next pair you also, at the same time, book a lovely holiday destination to make and wear them π

Villa looks lovely – I can feel the warmth. Socks are gorgeous. Have you taken anything else to knit? Hope you didn’t frighten the blue tit mum away. Better approach our bbq with care.

Villa is amazing as it was designed for full time living, not a holiday home. I’ve bought yarn to make scarves with the Swarovski crystals on, so that’s keeping my hands busy in the evenings.

Thanks, I like to have nice nails for holiday! We put the lid down on the BBQ and left them alone as soon as we realised there were chicks in there. We’re having a lovely holiday so far – horse riding in the mountains tomorrow:)

What a surprise, finding the nest! That’s some ingenious cat-protection! Very envious of your lovely break away, hope you are feeling rested and refreshed. I’m impressed that you carried on making by the pool!

It was lovely to see the chicks but we left them well alone as soon as we realised they were in there. Knitting by the pool is about as relaxing as it gets:)

Thanks, we’re having a great time – we only normally come over for a week to ten days, so a fortnight is brilliant.

How cute are those baby birds? π
Your boys are very sweet, lovely to see them sit and read “real books” Adorable.
Enjoy your vacation and knitting. π

We try hard to keep toys and books ‘real’ – no play stations or Wiis in our house! Plenty of knitting going on:)

That is so super and cool. π I always love to see kids read real books and enjoy the feel of a book in their hands.
