So, here are seven photos taken during the week which give you an insight into my life.
Sunday Sevens, as organized by Nat over at Threads and Bobbins, is a weekly round up of things that don’t make it to the blog.
I ought to rename it Monday Sevens really, as I rarely manage to post on a Sunday….
1. Piรฑa Coladas with friends.
2. My Tower Poppy arrived at last! You can read about our visit in this blog post.
3. The dogs enjoying a frosty walk.
4. Mmm….Nothing beats a Full English and a pot of tea after a walk in freezing weather.
5. Demolition of the old downstairs shower room and toilet.
6. Enjoying a spot of crochet and another cup of tea in a vintage china teacup given to me at Christmas.
7. went to the Hauser & Wirth gallery in Bruton. The video installation by Pipilotti Rist is mesmerizing.
Now, back to writing this bag pattern – nearly there Lucie๐

What are you going to ‘do’ with your poppy?

Well, it comes complete with the stem but I’m a little afraid to put it together in case it gets broken by the kids! I’ll probably look for a perspex display case.

That breakfast looks amazing! Good bacon & sausage are hard to come by here in Mobile!

I suppose they are! They’re very much an English thing aren’t they, good sausages? Especially proper Butcher’s ones.

Each photograph is amazing. The sea of red poppies is so moving. That truely touched my heart. I love your antique teacup and saucer. I adore tea pots, cups and saucers. I have a couple that I treasure that were given to me from a dear friend who has since passed. Bless her. Thanks so much for taking the time to add them to the blog. You rock girlie!!! Much love sent to you and you lovely family.

To see the poppies at the Tower of London was incredible – they’d already sold out by then so I’m glad I’d ordered it a few months earlier! I have a huge collection of vintage crockery that I love using every day. Life’s too short to keep it ‘for best’. ๐

The Hauser and Wirth looks like a great place to spend many a day. I should imagine it’s beautiful in the summertime going off the pictures on their site!

It IS great – situated (rather unusually for a gallery) in the heart of the countryside just 6 miles away. Lovely place to while away a few hours and the food’s good too:)

It’s such a pity I am hundreds of miles away, I think I could spend many happy hours wandering around, even painting outside. It certainly is unusual, though it would be lovely if there were more galleries in such beautiful settings! ๐

The poppies were such a meaningful tribute, and it’s wonderful that you purchased one. Love the teacup too!
