These are really fun – I did have a squint at the pattern when you mentioned them before and I am tempted. I am impressed that Mr. H-L so willingly offered himself up to be an underwear model on the Minerva blog – you’ll definitely have to make him some more pairs now. Did the elastic come from Minerva Crafts too?

Yes, the elastic came from Minerva – I was so pleased as I really didn’t want to resort to black for the waistband. The Mister needed no persuasion to model – things like that don’t bother him although there isn’t enough money in the world to persuade me to get down to my knickers for public scrutiny!

Just what I needed to brighten up my day, as I’m sat at my desk eating my lunch!!!!!

I’m tempted to try – but it might just reinforce The Managements opinion that he doesn’t need to go shopping for clothes. Ever. 😦

There is always that danger – unless that means you’d have to make all his clothes! Boxers are fun to make, actually and they certainly make a change from the usual stuff.

They’re great!! Though I suspect he has no trouble finding them in the clean washing pile and wonder if eventually he will need sunglasses to go into his ‘smalls’ drawer LOL

Actually, The Boys have the same taste in garish underwear – the laundry basket sometimes looks a bit like a bag of smarties with all that colour! I quite like the fact that they all like to wear something a bit different to everyone else, though, and suspect they will be fighting over the jersey remnants from my latest dress for some boxers!

These are brilliant! I think I may make some for my husband’s birthday in the summer. I’m not sure he’ll be modeling them for me though and I certainty won’t be allowed to splash pictures of him wearing them all over the Internet! What a good sport Mr H-L is (assuming he knows you’ve put his pictures on Minerva Crafts😮).

Oh, you should make him some for his birthday! Honestly, my husband wants these washed as soon as they go into the basket as he says they’re so comfortable – they were tailor made to fit him exactly, after all. He’s fine about posing for photos – it’s the extrovert in him:)

These really are fab! Perfect fabric choice too! My hubbys not a boxer short wearer, but maybe I can persuade him otherwise. I’ve had the pattern printed off since it came out but not gotten round to making them.

So you bought the pattern even though hubby’s not a boxer short wearer? You must be desperate to sew something different for a change! Perhaps H would like some? I got a lot of enjoyment out of making them but Mr H-L also loves wearing them, so it’s a no brainier for me.

I bought them with H in mind, and even bought some lovely plush elastic, stripy! He just wasn’t as enthusiastic as I thought he might be, so moved on. I’ve shown the hubby yours, and I’m thinking of giving them a go. I checked out that fabric – for me a gold top not for undies, I thought it was a bit expensive, I’m spoilt with Dewsbury and Leeds prices!

Art Gallery is quite pricey but I love it for the quality and the distinctive design. I try to use it in a Minerva post and then I don’t have to pay for it!

These are awesome. And I am sure any Mr. would love them. Now only if I could sew properly. 🙂

Great boxers. I going to have to get that pattern. I made Some Liberty cotton boxers for Minerva which Mr B likes but that pattern would be more his style

Must confess to nearly dropping my iPad in the bath when reaching Mr pics 😂 I had visions of the bribery required to get him to model, can only try to imagine what mine would have said. Oh and awesome make you clever thing 👏🏼

Thanks – they’ve gone down a treat and I now have my orders to fill his drawer with tailor made boxers as he loves them so much! No bribery needed to get him to model – he’s such an extrovert:)

These came out so well. And how nice to know they’re now a favorite. I tried commenting on Minerva, but they’ve reset passwords and now I can’t seem to find my way back.

Thanks Alys, it’s always nice when you hit on a really successful pattern that they want you to make more, although I tend to get bored after making a few of the same thing so he might have to wait a while:)
